Police investigating suspected Te Puke arson

Police are investigating a suspected arson in Te Puke this morning.

A car was found on fire on Kaituna River Road at about 6am.

Firefighers arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in flames.

Police were called to the scene at 6.15am.

A police spokesperson says the vehicle was stolen.

"This was a stolen car found set alight. Police are following up."
