UPDATE: State Highway 2, near Wright Road, is now clear.

One lane of the highway in the Aongatete area was blocked following crash reports this afternoon.

A police spokesperson says they were notified of a two car collision at 12:41pm on the intersection of Wright Road and State Highway 2.

"At least one person reportedly has minor injuries, it looks like the road was blocked until around 1.30pm."

The NZTA says there is a crash on the section of the highway, near Wright Road.

"Motorists should expect delays and are advised to delay travel of avoid the area if possible."
