Heavy rain is being forecast for the Bay of Plenty for the next three days.
The MetService has issued a severe weather watch for heavy rain for the region, west of Te Puke.
'A strong, moist easterly airstream, ahead of a deep low over the Tasman Sea, is forecast to bring rain and easterly gales to the upper North Island from later today until Friday morning,” says the MetService.
'People are advised to stay up to date with the latest forecasts and warnings in case any changes are made, or further areas are added.”
There is also a strong wind watch in place for the Kaimai Range.
