Exciting senior mens rugby finals

The final games of the Farmlands Cooperative Society Limited Senior Men's finals for the 2020 season were played yesterday resulting in a win for Katikati and two wins for Whakarewarewa.

In a close final, Katikati came out on top with a 25-24 win over Eastern Districts in the 2020 Farmlands Co-operative Western Bay Senior Mens competition, played at Moore Park.

The two evenly matched teams played an exciting game with Katikati's two tries in the last five minutes securing the win for them.

Whakarewarewa Premier team

The 2020 Farmlands Co-operative Central Bay Premier winners are Whakarewarewa, taking the win 39-9 over Ngongotaha.

Whakarewarewa Premier Development team

Whakarewarewa gain two titles this season with their Premier Development team also taking the win in front of a home crowd with 14-11 over Ngongotaha to take out the 2020 Farmlands Co-operative Central Bay Premier Development title.

On Thursday the Steamers had a pre-season game against Counties Manukau who came away with the win 40-33. Next weekend the Steamers officially kick off their Mitre 10 season against Taranaki.
