One person has been hit by a car in Welcome Bay this evening.
Police were notified at 5.40pm that a pedestrian had been struck by a car at the intersection of Riverstone Drive and Orakei Place.
A police spokeswoman says they don't have any details regarding injuries.
She says it appears the car left the scene but was located a short distance away by police.
Update: A police media spokesperson says the pedestrian has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.
