A police spokesperson says the death is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the Coroner.

Motorists are being asked to continue to avoid the area.

A police spokesperson says they are at the scene of an incident on Ngatai Road near the intersection of Emily Place.

"Police ask that people avoid the area as there will be delays for motorists."
