Stallholders at the Oropi Country Market are excited that they can finally have the doors of the Oropi Memorial Hall open again now that most of the country are back at Alert Level 1.

The boutique market, which is usually held on the last Sunday of each month features unique handcrafted work by local artists, fresh local produce and preserves, artisan foods and ‘cooks in the kitchen' serving up delicious food including dumplings, bacon and egg rolls, hot dogs, burgers and wraps.

The August market had to be cancelled as NZ had gone to Level 2 and Auckland to Level 3. Needless to say the craftspeople, creative makers, and artists have been working on creating more to sell over the last month, and Sunday at the hall should be abuzz with anticipation and excitement to see what's going to be on display.

Honey, metal art, glass art, miniature houses, painted rocks, whistles, paintings, herbs, heirloom vegie plants and edible plant patio pots can all be found at the market. Also tote bags, mini chef sets, aprons and matching chef hats, gift bags, dog bandanas, leash tidys, sandwich wraps and snack bags.

The Oropi Country Market is also a popular place for locals to meet up and have a yarn and a cuppa.

Motor or cycle on out into the country to 1295 Oropi Rd and enjoy the Oropi Country Market which runs on Sunday from 9am to 1pm.
