Emergency services are responding to a two-vehicle crash in Mount Maunganui.

Fire and Emergency NZ were called to the crash on the intersecting roads of Maranui Street and Yale Road at around 10.15am.

One vehicle has rolled and there are minor injuries, says Fire and Emergency NZ northern communications shift manager Carren Larking.

"No one is trapped."

She says one FENZ appliance is in attendance.

A police spokesperson says one lane is blocked, and a tow has been arranged for the two vehicles involved.

A reporter at the scene says traffic coming from Papamoa is being diverted down Sunrise Avenue.

She says two tow trucks are currently at the scene to remove the vehicles.
