Power now restored in Bethlehem

3pm update: Power has now been restored to 266 properties in Bethlehem following an outage early this morning.

Powerco report that damaged equipment was the cause of the power cut that occurred at 1.48am.

2pm update: Bethlehem residents are still without power this afternoon.

Powerco advise that 266 properties are still experiencing an outage after a power cut that occurred at 1.48am.

The cause given for the outage is damaged equipment.

The expected restoration time is 2.30pm.

Earlier, 7.15am: There is a power outage in Bethlehem this morning.

Powerco advise that 266 properties have experienced a power cut.

The outage occurred at 1.48am and a site investigation is underway.

Power is expected to be restored by 9.30am.

A large truck mounted generator has been moved on site to generate electricity supply as an interim solution until the power box which “blew up” is repaired or replaced.
