Emergency services are responding to a crash between a car and lamp post in Te Puke.
A police spokesperson says they were called to the incident at the intersection of Jocelyn Street and Jellicoe Street just before 3pm.
"One person is in serious condition."
Ambulance and fire crews are also at the crash scene.
The police spokesperson says they are not aware of any road blockages at this time.
