Police confirm they have found the body of missing woman Shylo Rose Porter.

Police had previously appealed for sightings of the missing 24-year-old, who was also known as Whakarongopai.

She had been reported missing on Thursday with whanau having serious concerns for her welfare.

Police Search & Rescue Squad and LandSAR volunteers located the body on Mt Ngongotaha, near Rotorua, this morning.

'The death is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the Coroner,” says a police statement.

'Police extend their sympathies to family and friends of Shylo at this difficult time.”
