Power is out to hundreds of homes in the Omokoroa area tonight.
According to Powerco, 590 properties are without power.
The power company's website says the supply went down at about 8pm.
A site investigation is underway into the cause of the outage.
Powerco estimates that power should be back on around 10pm.

Its all about PROFITS and the lines companies have NOT being doing maintenance for the last 20 years - its a case of wait to the "line" dies and then we will fix it !! OH and there is also a widespread streetlight outage in Tauranga tonight !!! Sunlive - ASK the questions - who owns the local lines network and how much profit have they taken off the locals in the last five years ???
