The MetService is forecasting a cloudy day with a possible morning shower or two, then rain later this afternoon, and northerlies.

It's a one-clothing-layer day with an expected high of 21 degrees, and an overnight low of 16 degrees. Low tide is at 11.36am and high tide at 5.55pm. Sunset is at 5.21pm.

What's on today?

The Tauranga Home Show is running today from 10am – 4pm at Trustpower Arena Baypark.

Come on down to the Papamoa Lions Market at Gordon Spratt Reserve from 8am – 12pm to get your fresh produce and unbeatable bargains on everything from clothes to hardware and handmade treasures.

The weekly Mount Maunganui Sunday Farmers Market is also on today. Come to the middle of the Mount Maunganui shopping area from 9am – 12pm for live music, fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, flowers, warm croissants, herbs and more.

Brain Watkins House

The Brain Watkins house is open today. This historic house museum is located on 233 Cameron Rd and open from 2-4pm. $5 adult, children free.

Take a walk through Tauranga Art Gallery and view the many exhibitions on display there this week, including the entries in the Acorn Foundation Youth Art Awards. The gallery, in Willow St, is open from 10am - 4pm.

Have you been to the Lion and Tusk Museum yet? It's open today from 10am - 3pm at Unit 4, 14 Portside Dr, Mount Maunganui. Chris Thompson

Chris Thompson & The Dirt Band are playing at The Jam Factory from 5pm – 8.30pm. Chris is a psychedelic folk and blues singer, songwriter and guitarist, who made his name alongside England and Ireland's best folk and blues musicians in the early 1970s while touring and recording there.

Play Misty are performing at the Mount Social Club from 5pm. 'Play Misty' is Paul Parkhouse and Simon Elton, performing acoustic versions of harmonica blues, rockabilly, hillbilly and 60s pop.
