One person is reported to be in serious condition following a truck crash overnight.
Emergency services were called to a truck and trailer unit rollover on State Highway 1, at Piarere, around 9.15pm.
'The driver is reported to have serious injuries,” says a police spokesperson.
The stretch of highway was closed, while the serious crash unit examined the scene.
Diversions were in place at SH1 and SH27, north of Tirau and at SH1 and SH29, near Karapiro.
Police have released a statement this morning, saying the road is now open.
