Two crashes, in Papamoa and 16th Ave

There have been two vehicle collisions.

A vehicle has crashed into a street light in Papamoa, and two vehicles crashed near Fraser St.

"A vehicle reportedly crashed into a street light on Palazzo Drive about 1.20pm," says a Police spokesperson.

There are no reported injuries. It appears that the pole has been damaged.

Earlier there was a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 16th Ave and Fraser St in Tauranga. This crash was reported to Police at 11.45am.

It is unknown at this stage whether anyone was injured at this collision.

Do you take out a street light whilst driving if you are not distracted? I know that local residents just love to drive on the WRONG side of the road or even down the MIDDLE. Gives no room for evasive maneuvers.
