Veterans' golf

There was a large field again on Monday, September 20, and following the Level 2 rules, those who teed off first were back in the Clubhouse for lunch long before the later starters.

Many did not wait for prize-giving, making plenty of room in the lounge for separated seating as required. The third and last Putting round was the day's competition and the distracting windy conditions caused many to add unexpected extra putts to their score.

Matchplay: In the outstanding semi –final matches Allen Sarjant beat John Giffney on 17, and Helen Baynes beat Jenny Tubman on 18.

Women's golf - 18 holes

There were 19 players in the field on Saturday September 18, and conditions to play the many competitions that had mounted up during lockdown were perfect:

Bell Cup, Qualifying round for Spiers Beach Cup, Strokeplay Championships round 1 , and Rosebowl LGU 7.

There were many competitions that had to be played on Wednesday September 22 in order to catch up on the many days lost due to Covid and bad weather: LGU 7, BOP Stableford, Lowrie Cup, Niel's Birthday, Wilson Salver, Karl Wilson Buttons, Qualifying round for the Beach Cup, and round one in the Strokeplay championship.

Nine-hole golf

At last and long overdue, It could not have been a better morning for golf on Tuesday September 21 for the 23 keen Nine holers who turned up to play the third and final round Stroke Play Championship round.
