Additional locations of interest announced

UPDATE 5pm: There are seven more locations of interest in the Tauranga region.

The MOH has added locations in Bethlehem, Greerton and Parkvale to the growing list including bakeries, health service centres, and pharmacy's.

On Friday, November 19, anyone who was at the Unichem Greerton Pharmacy from 8.30am-10.30am, Flaveur Breads on Second Avenue from 1.25pm-1.50pm, the Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service at 290 Cameron Road from 1.45pm-4.30pm and the Chadwick Bakery and Café in Greerton from 2.05pm-3.20pm should self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after you were exposed at this location of interest.

If symptoms develop, get a test and stay at home until you get a negative test result and until 24 hours after symptoms resolve.

The same advice goes for anyone at Memorial Park where the ice cream trucks normally park on Eleventh Avenue on Saturday, November 20 between 2.15pm and 3.45pm, Cambridge Heights Foodmarket in Bethlehem on the same day from 3.45pm to 5pm and Peter Pans Superette on Fraser Street on Tuesday, November 23 from 2.55pm to 4.40pm.

The new locations of interest come amid nine new cases of Covid-19 in the Bay of Plenty district health region today.

EARLIER 12pm: The MOH has changed the advice regarding the Ruck n Maul Sports Bar in Rotorua exposure event.

Anyone who was at the CBD location on Amohia Street on Tuesday, November 16 from 5.30pm is advised to self-isolate and test immediately.

A further test is required on day five after you were exposed at this location of interest. Further isolation and testing requirements will be provided by Public Health.

A further location in Tauranga has been added. Anyone at the Z 15th Ave Petrol Station on Saturday, November 20 between 9.55am and 1.15am is asked to self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after you were exposed at this location of interest. If symptoms develop, get a test and stay at home until you get a negative test result AND until 24 hours after symptoms resolved.

PREVIOUSLY 10.40am: A further location of interest in the Bay of Plenty have been added by the Ministry of Health.

The location is the New World Gate Pa in Tauranga on Sunday, November 21 from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Anyone who was at the location should self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after you were exposed at this location of interest.

'If symptoms develop, get a test and stay at home until you get a negative test result and until 24 hours after symptoms resolve,” is the official MOH advice.

EARLIER 6.40am: The Ministry of Health has added four new locations of interest for the Tauranga region.

This comes after 12 new cases of Covid-19 were announced in the Bay of Plenty on Wednesday.

They are: Unichem Pharmacy Greerton on November 19 from 1.45pm to 4pm and on November 15 from 3.45pm to 5pm, Dominos Pizza Greerton November 20 12.05pm to 1.20pm.

Other locations are BP Gas Station Gate Pa on November 20 from 1.15pm to 2.30pm, and New World Brookfield on November 19 from 12pm to 1.30pm.
