A fire at a property on Te Puke Quarry Rd was quickly extinguished on Wednesday afternoon.
"We were notified of the fire at 2.52pm," says Fire and Emergency NZ shift manager Dallas Ramsay.
"Some machinery and a conveyor belt was on fire covering an area of ten by ten metres.
"By about 3.20pm the fire was out and they were damping down smouldering material.
"Just before quarter to four it was being left in the hands of the plant owners."
