One lucky Powerball player from Hamilton will be enjoying a life-changing moment after winning $9 million with Powerball First Division on Saturday night.

The winning ticket was sold at Four Square Matangi in Hamilton. The prize is made up of $8 million from Powerball First Division and $1 million from Lotto First Division.

This is the seventh time Powerball has been struck this year, after a lucky New Plymouth mum won $5.3 million from a ticket slipped into her Mother's Day card earlier this month.

Meanwhile, two lucky Strike players from Porirua and Masterton will also be celebrating tonight after each winning $100,000 with Strike Four.

The winning Strike Four tickets were sold at New World Whitby in Porirua and Copper Kettle in Masterton.

Anyone who bought their ticket at any of the above stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.

Players can phone Lotto NZ on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
