Tauranga City AFC's first-team continue to push East Coast Bays in the battle for third in the NRFL Men's Division 1.

Two goals from Lewis Reid and a second-half strike from Braxton Fisher-Vanderveen earned three points v Waitemata FC, after the home side had taken an early lead.

Tauranga City's women's team had two games in the NRFL Women's Premier League this week, losing to Hamilton Wanderers 4-0 on Wednesday night before succumbing to West Coast Rangers 2-0 at the weekend.

Otūmoetai's Premiership side finished their WaiBOP Premiership campaign with a win over local rivals Pāpāmoa. Jack Boland and James Clark scored in the first half to give Oats a chance of finishing second - with Taupo three points behind with a game to play.

Pāpāmoa face Te Awamutu in their final game of the season this weekend.

Ngongotaha continued their recent winning run, battling back from conceding an early goal to beat Melville 3-1.

In the WaiBOP Championship an all-Bay of Plenty battle for fourth took place at Litt Park - with Tauranga City taking the win over Te Puke United.

Goals in the second half from Sam Arthurs and John Phillips earned City a win which saw them leapfrog Te Puke into fourth place on goal difference.

There is just one game remaining in the Championship this season, Tauranga City taking on Matamata Swifts in their final game of the season at Links Ave.

Technically, a third-place finish is possible for City - as they will haul in Waikato Unicol with a 13-goal victory. Fourth place, therefore, seems likely.

W-League champions Otūmoetai United continued their winning form, Mya Brickley scoring a brace in a 4-1 win over Waikato Unicol. However, it was not as positive a day at the office for their sister team, Otūmoetai FC going down 10-1 against Lakes FC.
