Update, 7.35pm: Police can now confirm one person has died in a crash on Ohautira Road in Raglan this afternoon.

The crash, between a car and motorcycle, happened shortly after 2pm, Sunday April 14.

"Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene," says a police spokesperson.

The road has now reopened.

Earlier, 3.10pm: Emergency services are responding to a serious crash in Raglan.

Ohautira Road in Raglan is closed as emergency services attend a serious crash involving two vehicles.

"It happened just after 2pm and one person is said to have critical injuries," says a police spokesperson.

Police say diversions are in place around the crash scene and motorists are asked to expect delays.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
