Tga inline hockey tournament final

Competition is heating up between junior inline hockey teams at the final day of the Queen's Birthday Tournament in Tauranga.
Nineteen teams from Tauranga, Auckland, Kerikeri, New Plymouth and Waihi are participating in the three day event held at Mount Action Sports Centre which finishes today, Monday.


The New Plymouth Ravens beat the Waihi Miners in the under 12 semi final.

The New Plymouth Ravens came out on top in the under 10 final held last night and beat the Mount Wellington Panthers 7-1.
The finals of the under 12 and under 14 divisions are yet to be played.
Two Mount Wellington teams went head to head in the under 14 grade semi final.
The Panthers #1 beat the Panthers #2 team 4-1.
In the other under 14 semi final the New Plymouth Ravens beat the Waihi Miners 10-nil.
The Mount Wellington Panthers and the Hamilton Devils are currently playing in the under 12 semi final.
The New Plymouth Ravens and the Piako Pirates are currently playing the semi final for the under 12 division as well.
Tauranga Inline Hockey Club president Paul Wollaston says the tournament thus far has been great with a number of good plays and no injuries.
