$1 million win for lucky Lotto

A Lotto player in Auckland will be grinning from ear to ear after winning $1 million with Lotto First Division in last night's Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at New World Stonefields in Auckland.

Powerball was not struck this evening and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $7.5 million.

Strike Four was also struck tonight, with a player from Wellington taking home $200,000. The winning ticket was sold at Mac's Photo & Lotto in Wellington.

Lotto funding helps support essential services like St John. The Lotto draw shared the story of the new St John's ambulance station in Mokau, asmall rural town in the Tainui district.

This state of the art building has facilities for its volunteers to shower and prepare food, and a consultation and waiting room for the local doctor to visit – thanks in part to Lotto players. The story can be viewed here at goodonyou.co.nz.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
