Christmas may be six months away, but the pets and staff at Animates Tauranga are getting into the mid-year Christmas spirit.

Store manager, Jasmine Patterson, says the store is celebrating mid-winter with an extravagant Christmas themed sale.

'There is 20 per cent off most products in-store with a wide range of food, treats, toys, pet homes, bedding, grooming, and pet accessories to choose from.”

The store has also put together gift boxes, filled with great goodies for all kinds of pets. The first 100 people through the doors to spend $150 will get one of these gift boxes – filled with goodies and discount vouchers worth over $130.

As well as a great sale, Jasmine says the store is celebrating with some pet displays and other entertainment.

'We will have a Leonberger in-store and a breeder with her bearded dragons. The SPCA will also be on hand with the Dog Squad after 2pm, educating pet owners about pet safety and cruelty prevention. Kokomo, the children's entertainer, will be there too and of course, there will be Christmas cake.
