Whitianga Police are on the hunt for any information that will lead them to a boat stolen in the area.

On October 26, police attended two separate burglaries in Matarangi.

'Some property was recovered due to the vigilance of a local couple,” says Senior Constable Don Edgecombe.

'Matarangi seems to be being targeted by burglars at the moment and recently a boat was discovered stolen from the area.”

Any information in regards to a black and white, fibre glass Buccaneer boat on trailer registration H834K will be well received by Whitianga Police.

Police are urging the residents of Matarangi to be on the lookout for any suspicious behaviour and report it as it happens on 111.
