UPDATED 3.55pm: The fire is now extinguished.

A North Comms shift manager says a fire investigator is now at the scene to determine the cause of the blaze.

At this stage there is no indication of suspicious circumstances.

EARLIER:

A truck is reportedly on fire in Reporoa, near Ballance Agri-Nutrients.

The Fire Service was called to the area just after 1pm today.

A spokesperson for the Fire Service says it is a 15 tonne fertiliser spreader, 'well involved in fire.”

Three crews are responding, two from Rotorua and one from Taupo.
