What was once a host to thousands of people looking to have a good time, is now deserted with thousands of abandoned tents.
Baypark played host to the two day music spectacular, Bay Dreams, with many people setting up camp at the ASB Arena grounds so they could party right through.
Sunday saw the opening warm up act, with the main headliners hitting the stage yesterday.
People from all over converged on the stadium for what has been dubbed one of the biggest events of the year - all three days of it.
Today is a different story.
A SunLive reader dropping someone to their vehicles snapped a video of what has been left behind after the concert.
The car park of the arena could be accurately described as a tent graveyard.
What did you think of the event?

We live approx 3km away in direct line in Papamoa from Baypark and the noise (that's all it was ) was dreadful on Monday from 12 midday until 4 pm. The stock cars have never bothered us in the past but this was dreadful. I rang Noise Control and complained but they said there was nothing they could do as the event was TCC approved. Then I was told it was scheduled to go on until midnight. I was then told that they had received a number of other complaints. At 4 pm it stopped and started again at 5 pm but the volume was much reduced. The rain in the evening brought it all to a halt.
Here we go....

Ohhhh No Young People havin fun ,,,,Ohhhh they made a noise. But it will allow the whingers to bitch and moan about a cities growing pains. A bloody fortune was spent in local businesses and your house values are still going up.And it only went on for a few hours.

If the kids were not there they would have been scattered all over the place causing trouble. From what I hear the event went well with very little trouble. Stop complaining guys, surely you were all young once.

why would people spend hundreds of dollars to watch some idiots prancing around on a stage making unintelagable noise.

We all spend MILLIONS every day for this privilege except the " idiots prancing around on a stage making unintelligible noise" are called politicians. :)

The excessive base from 2pm to 4pm on Monday was well beyond acceptable noise.I live about 5 km (downwind) from the stadium and the thud of the base drowned out the TV.What were the two noise control people doing during this time?Never had any issues with the stadium in the past
Doc closes free camp sites across NZ BECAUSE

Kiwi's are just feral dog's when it comes to respecting the land we live in. Simply drive down a main high way to see rubbish chucked every 2m's . The relationship between Mori and the land is a sacred one.. yet we leave shit on it. Why, I blame it on Gen Y. We tell them they are successful not what they do, no pass or fail marks . By opening the car door to drop rub a few meters form a designated rubbish bin is a successful attempt and should be congratulated. Sadly, just returned early from our favorite camping site- last 20 years. Now band from camping by Doc.. BECAUSE kiwi's are dirty ass bogans - no mana

I'd be more than happy to volunteer and help clean up; if I can take what I clean home with me. There's hundreds of $$$ sitting there. All someone has to do is go and give the tents a rinse, make sure all of the poles are there, and roll it up. Boom! Hit up TradeMe and you've pocketed some sweet cash. But I do agree - it's pretty shocking that it's been left in such a state. Young people don't have much respect anymore it seems - for other people or for property.
Throw away society

The same people will be bleating about saving the planet, saving the whales, stopping seismic blasting etc etc but when it comes to some personal responsibility they cant even be bothered packing up and carrying out their own stuff. We've tents in our family that have lasted generations. Time for a change in thinking, especially for this generation who are going to inherit their own mess.
All Gone

Why did they not donate the tents to the local Scouts?
