Firearms nicked in Bay burglary

A number of firearms have been stolen in a burglary in the Bay of Plenty.

The firearms, which have not been recovered, include pistols and semi-automatic rifles and were taken on Wednesday, February 8.

'Police are naturally concerned as to where these firearms may be, and what they may be used for,” says Rotorua area prevention manager, Inspector Stuart Nightingale.

'If you know something about the theft of these firearms, or know who may have them, it is important that you contact police.”
