UPDATED 3.09PM: Power has been restored to more than 6000 properties in Bellevue.
An outage was reported around 2pm.
EARLIER:
More than 6000 properties are without power in the Bellevue area this afternoon.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the power supply went out about 2pm.
According to the Powerco website, contractors are working to restore the supply.
Power is estimated to be back on in the area around 3pm.
The cause of the outage is under investigation.

Gosh this was awful for me old horse Nightmare, her stable Air conditioner was off and she got over heated,it was a relief when it come back on, thankyou Powerco, THANKS No1, 10-4 out.
