Car collides with scooter

Police and ambulance services were required after a rider was knocked from their scooter in a collision with a car on Saturday night.

The incident occurred on Welcome Bay Road, near the intersection with Waitaha Road, at around 6.30pm.

A police spokesperson says the rider of the scooter was taken to hospital as a result of injuries sustained.
