The HMS Chatham Cup is on display today at the Tauranga City United Rugby Football Club at the Mount.
New Zealand Football Men's Competition Manager Allie Smith brought it down from Auckland to display during the match between Tauranga City United and Waiheke United, held at Links Ave Reserve at 2pm.
"The Chatham Cup is NZ's longest running national sporting competition," says Alllie.
"They talk about the magic of the Cup because it's a knockout competition. Whoever turns up on the day and delivers the best performance on the pitch goes forward to the next round."
The finals are scheduled for September 10.
