Renewed call for wanted man

Waikato Police are renewing an appeal to the public for sightings of Anthony Brett Clegg. The 39-year-old has a Warrant To Arrest for unlawful possession of a firearm.

He is being sought by Police continuing to investigate the death of a man in Frankton, Hamilton that occurred on Tuesday 30 May.

Anthony Clegg should not be approached. If you see him, please call 111.

Detective Senior Sergeant Stephen Ambler says Clegg is actively avoiding police and help is required in locating him.

On Tuesday night (May 30), witnesses said they saw the victim bleeding on the front step of his home, yelling for help. Then he fell silent.

A 23-year-old woman appeared in the Hamilton District Court on May 31 charged with possession of an improvised firearm.

She was remanded in custody without plea by community magistrate Kathryn Wilson until her next appearance on June 15.
