Bay of Plenty Police are asking motorist to take special care on the road following a fatal crash.
One person is dead and three others have been injured in a crash near Tokoroa.
While the cause of the fatal crash is still under investigation, police are taking the time to remind people to drive to the conditions, particularly as bad weather hits the region.
'The roads are wet following rain and temperatures were expected to plummet overnight,” says Senior Sergeant Fane Troy.
'Please adjust your driving to the conditions, keep an eye on your speed and maintain your following distances.”
More rain is forecast for the Bay of Plenty today.
