A woman has been stabbed in an altercation with three other people.

Emergency services were called to the stabbing at the rear car park near the casino in Hamilton at 7.22pm.

Police say a number of the woman's personal items were taken following the altercation.

'She has been taken to Waikato Hospital for treatment to a moderate injury.

'Police are currently speaking with witnesses and making further enquiries.”
