Three people believed to have been armed with hammers robbed a liquor store in Tauranga.
Police were called to a liquor store on Chapel Street at 8.20pm.
A police spokesperson says three people had robbed a store of alcohol and cigarettes.
'They were carrying weapons (understood to be hammers) but did not use them.
'No injuries, and inquiries ongoing to locate the offenders.”
People with information about the robbery are asked to contact Tauranga Police Station on 07 577 4300.
