Serious crash reported in Welcome Bay

Emergency services are dealing with a serious crash in Welcome Bay.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says a truck has rolled near the quarry on Kaitemako Road.

Another SunLive reader emailed in to says they saw three police cars and a fire truck heading up the road minutes ago.

A police spokesperson says the driver of the truck was trapped.

SunLive is working on getting more information and will update this story as soon as we have something more.
