No one has been injured after a truck erupted into flames on a Bay of Plenty highway.

Emergency services were called to the fire on State Highway 33, in Paengaroa, shortly before 1.30am.

A police spokesperson says the road was blocked while the scene was attended to.

'However, it was clear by 3am.”

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
