Airshow thrills the crowd

Former committee member of the aero club in Tauranga Jack Cole is back in Tauranga 60 years later.
Jack is back to see what has changed since he was last here and he says the aerobatics of the show is great.

Barbara, Garry and Jack Cole decided to come to the Classics of the Sky Airshow to see the aerobatics and enjoy the day.
Jack says he was here back in the 'Tiger Moth” days in 1952.
'All that was here back then was just grass. There was one building and that was it.”
He says things have changed so much that he doesn't know where to go now.
Barbara says she wanted to come over and see the planes performing the aerobatics because she has done it in a stearman in Rotorua.
She says the day has been a good one so far and they are all looking forward to see all the planes in action.
The Classics of the Sky Airshow is drawing in plenty of people whoare all enjoying the show as well as the trade stalls on the gournd.
New Zealand Defence Force cadets are on the ground selling raffle tickets.
There is also classic cars on show, along with bouncy castles and a climbing wall for people to enjoy.
