The Tauranga Moana Waitangi Day Dawn Service at Hopukiore (Mount Drury Reserve) is being cancelled due to poor weather expected over the weekend.

"The community can still tune into the service through a live broadcast on Moana Radio, 98.2FM and 1440AM, from 6.30am on Monday, February 6," says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.

"The service will also be livestreamed through Council channels. Keep an eye on the Facebook event page for updates.

"Tauranga Moana Waitangi Day Festival is still taking place this Monday, February 6."

"Visit The Historic Village to celebrate, acknowledge and pay respect to what this day means and the unity we seek moving forward. It is a free event full of live music, entertainment, workshops, laughter, and much aroha."

Climate Lockdowns

The forecast is a few showers. Are we not allowed out now? If it’s hot and sunny, it’s stay indoors and don’t drink alcohol. If it’s a bit of light rain it’s stay indoors and ‘keep safe’. The Government overreach is out of control.

Slim Shady, this has nothing to do with the government. Ridiculous statement.
