Yarns and food will be exchanged over luxury German vehicles next Sunday, June 18 at this month's SimplyBMW Bay of Plenty car meet held in Pongakawa.

All cars and enthusiasts are being invited to take part, and can come along free of charge.

"Old and new cars are welcome, and it doesn't even have to be a flash BMW," says organiser Wayne Drake.

"The club is free to join and there's no commitments. We meet once a month in a different location for a BMW show and tell, and then we take an enjoyable drive to a cafe or similar for lunch and refreshments, and of course plenty of more car chat.

"We also welcome along any mini vehicle made by BMW and always enjoy it when they come along.

"Our next meet on Sunday, June 18, will be at Pongakawa, where we will take a drive to Lake Matahina for some views and a chat, before then cruising to Whakatāne for some food and drinks."

Along with food and drinks, Wayne says there is always "some good stories" which are brought along to the monthly car meets.

"The age of members varies from 18 to 80 and lots of everything in-between."

SimplyBMW hosts car meets every month covering the Bay of Plenty up to Waihī and down to Taupō.

Wayne encourages any BMW driver or enthusiast to come along and enjoy the fun.
