Police are reporting the man missing in Tirau has been located as of Tuesday evening.

"The man initially reported missing in the Tirau area has been located," reads a post on the Bay of Plenty & Taupo Police Facebook page.

The Facebook post was posted on the evening of September 26, at about 7.26pm.

"Police would like to thank the public for their assistance."
