Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on Hamurana Road, near Tauranga Direct Road.
This was reported to Police at 3pm.
"One person is reported to have serious injuries and is being airlifted to hospital," says a Police spokesperson.
"The road is blocked and traffic management is in place at the scene.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route where possible."
