The Blue Light Youth Christmas Concert Tour is bringing festive joy to Tauranga again this year along with special guest local singing sensation -Fletcher Oxford.

A total of 39 Tauranga Intermediate School Choir students took part in the Blue Light Christmas Choir Tour today visiting six local rest homes including Melrose Resthome, Matua Lifecare, Aspen Resthome, Bethlehem Views, Cedar Manor and Hodgeson House.

The students serenaded their audiences in a 20minute concert of traditional Christmas melodies.

Reality talent show New Zealand's Got Talent fifth place winner Fletcher Oxford also sang in a special solo performance.

Blue Light Western bay of Plenty executive member Wendy Nichollos has been looking forward to the event all year.

New Zealand Blue Light is a registered charity and community policing youth programme helping young people stay free from drugs, alcohol and violence.
