Te Puke hooker Simon Chisholm has been cited for violence three weeks out from a five-game suspension following an incident during a match between Rotoiti and Te Puke on Saturday.
A Rotoiti player was taken to hospital with a cut to the nose after an alleged stomping during the match played at Te Puke.

Bay of Plenty Rugby CEO Mike Rogers says Simon will appear at a judicial review committee hearing on Friday night.
Simon is the only player to have been cited for the alleged incident which was not seen by the referee or touch judges and was not picked up on video, says Mike.
Other sources tell SunLive there was something wrong with the Te Puke team's video coverage during the game, which Te Puke lost 21-15.
Simon is three weeks in to his return to rugby after being suspended for five games for punching a Tauranga player on April 27.
The assault happened during Simon's second game back after recovering from being king hit during a match against Te Puna early last year.
He was hit after what witnesses say was a torrent of racial abuse against the Te Puna players that was heard by spectators.
Simon's father pressed charges against the other player, who was convicted and sentenced to community work.
Last Saturday's injured player is Joe Royal, a former Ponsonby captain recently employed by the BOP Rugby Union as a regional rugby administrator.
Mike is unsure if a decision concerning Simon will be made on Friday.
'It just depends on how it goes. It just varies depending on how much information they can gather. I can't comment on whether they will make a decision on Friday night or not.
'It's really for that independent committee to review the information they have got. If they feel like they need further information I guess they'll delay any decision. If they are comfortable with the information - or if there is no case, they will make a decision then.”
