Grower Direct owner Paul Nielsen says all of the 500 eggs have been found, with yesterday proving the busier day for the hunt.

'The kids had a great time. The only thing that put a damper on it was the weather.”

Meanwhile, the Easter bunny paid a visit to Coronation Park in Mount Maunganui today for the annual Easter in the Park.

Hosted by Mount Mosaic church, Easter in the Park invited children to run through a 15 metre by eight metre bouncy obstacle course, which joined an extended number of bouncy castles and children-specific activities, including hula hoop competitions and face painting.

There were also acoustic local bands, games, rides, and plenty of food and drink.
