Police are asking for help in locating a boat stolen in the Bay of Plenty earlier last month.

The boat, which is an unknown make or model, was taken on September 6.

This boat was stolen in the Bay of Plenty at the beginning of September.

Police say it is orange and white in colour and had a 1987 Honda BS15A, 15hp outboard motor.

The boat is of fibreglass construction, with white hull and decks.

Police say a trailer was also taken, which is described as a 1990 home build, painted in a hammer finish, with two white mudguards and a registration number W480J.

Anyone who has seen the boat, trailer or motor are asked to contact their local police station.
