The 60-year-old is yet to appear in court this afternoon after being arrested by police following an early morning raid on his Harbour Drive home.

Tauranga Police Detective Sergeant Darryl Brazier told SunLive this morning the search was instigated after receiving information from a member of the public.

Two security guards have since been posted outside the gate, along with a police officer.

SunLive will have a full update later on this afternoon.
