Woman killed in Rotorua crash named

An Auckland woman has been identified as the person who was killed in a crash near Rotorua.

Lynda Anne Bailey died on State Highway 5, near Tapapa, after a car and cattle truck collided at 4.45pm.

'Police offer their sympathies to the 56-year-old's family at this difficult time,” says police.

'The Serious Crash Unit are investigating the cause of the crash.”

It was the second fatal crash along that stretch of road yesterday - a man died in the morning in a crash involving a car and campervan.
