UPDATE 8.40am: Power has now returned in the CBD.
Powerco says they are unsure exactly where the affected areas are.
SunLive will update you when there is more information.
EARLIER: Some residents in Tauranga are without power this morning.
A total of 934 properties have been affected by the outage.
Powerco say it's estimated that power will be restored to the area just after 1pm.
The cause of the outage is not yet known.

How many of these has there been of late where this company has let people down?,there has been a few.Powerco need to have a good look at them selves and it not as though there has been weather to make excuses for them

are you going to choose, they are a monopoly, so they can just do what they like and when. That also means keeping up with the maintenance of their network.
