UPDATE 11.44am: Lanes in both directions on SH2 are blocked after a two car crash near Munro Road.

A police spokesperson says that at this stage it aapears one person has moderate injuries.

"Traffic is being diverted down Munro Road through Te Puna Quarry Road around the crash scene."

State Highway 2 is blocked after a crash by the intersection of SH2 and Munro Road.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says that the road is blocked.
